Fans of Studio Ghibli and Disney animated films will definitely want to check out "the colors of," a minimalist poster series by Brazilian-Korean American artist Hyo Taek Kim. "the colors of" breaks down Disney and Hayao Miyazaki films into colored bars that represent the hues used in each animation.
It's interesting to see the colors used in Disney vs. Ghibli films, but I also find it fascinating to feel that that gut recognition when just looking at a series of color bars – you actually do think "Oh yeah! That movie!" when you look at some of these prints.
You can buy these as prints or other products via Kim's Society6 page, but I really think Nausicaa would make a great beach towel.
